Welcome to x402x. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Description of Services

x402x is a multi-token payment gateway platform that enables:

  • HTTP 402 "Payment Required" implementation for APIs
  • Gasless payments via EIP-3009 token transfers
  • Multi-token support (USDC, USDT, and other ERC-20 tokens)
  • Payment gateway creation and management
  • Connection to non-custodial wallets
  • Access to blockchain transaction data

2. Accounts & Authentication

To use certain features of x402x, you may need to:

  • Connect an Ethereum wallet address via supported wallet providers (Privy)
  • Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
  • Maintain the security of your wallet and private keys
  • Provide accurate and complete information

Important: We do not have custody of your funds or private keys. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your wallet.

3. User Roles

  • Users: Can browse payment gateways, make payments, and access protected resources
  • Gateway Owners: Can create and manage payment gateways, set token prices, and configure endpoints
  • Service Providers: Can integrate x402x payment gateways to monetize their APIs

4. Wallets, Transactions & Fees

x402x operates as a non-custodial platform:

  • All blockchain transactions are processed directly on-chain
  • Users pay gas fees for certain transactions (settled by facilitator for EIP-3009)
  • Platform fees (typically 1%) are deducted from payments
  • You are responsible for all tax reporting related to your transactions
  • Blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed - please verify details before confirming

5. Blockchain Data

All data displayed on x402x related to blockchain transactions is:

  • Public and accessible on the blockchain
  • Immutable and cannot be modified or deleted
  • Not controlled or guaranteed by x402x for accuracy
  • Subject to blockchain network conditions and delays

6. Content & Licenses

When you submit content to x402x (gateway configurations, metadata, etc.):

  • You retain ownership of your content
  • You grant x402x a license to display, store, and process your content to provide services
  • You represent that you have the right to submit such content
  • You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with applicable laws

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any illegal purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access data without permission
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform's functionality
  • Use the platform to facilitate money laundering or terrorist financing

8. No Warranties

x402x is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of blockchain data
  • Warranties that security measures will prevent all unauthorized access

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, x402x and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of funds due to user error, wallet compromise, or blockchain issues
  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages resulting from third-party services or blockchain networks

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless x402x from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Your content or gateway configurations

11. Third-Party Services

x402x integrates with third-party services including:

  • Wallet providers (Privy)
  • Blockchain networks (Ethereum, Base)
  • Token contracts (USDC, USDT)
  • IPFS storage providers

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate access to the platform at any time
  • Remove content that violates these Terms
  • Refuse service to anyone for any reason

You may stop using the platform at any time. On-chain data will persist on the blockchain.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of x402x shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and x402x regarding the use of the platform.
